Merlin II and WinSPM

I was told that you can not access a Merlin II remotely using WinSPM, that you had to be at the system and use the adapter. Is this correct? I have a customer with a Merlin II with some minor changes but I'd rather not drive two hours for 20 mins of programming.

You cannot access a Merlin II with WinSPM - it has to be at least a Legend processor.

You could pick up an early release Legend processor pretty cheap and swap for the Merlin II.
