merlin gpa problems 1

i got a gpa that i need to use an analog phone to call back in forth but when i do i dont get the analog to ring so i need to get some help in trying to find out what is going on or try to find someone who knows how to get it working properly. I got it all hooked up right but it wont ring do i have to program a button to make it work properly or is there more to it than that please help if you will.

Not sure what your question is. The GPA doesn't ring. How is the GPA hooked up? It is supposed to be hooked up to an analog BIS-style phone. You also have to set the GPA switch to either "Basic" or "Join" depending on whether you want the GPA to work only when the phone is "off hook".

i am trying to make the analog phone ring not the gpa. i got the bis phone hooked up to a merlin then the blue tip going into the blue tip slot and then the 4 pin cord to the phone. just wondering how to make the analog phone ring cause it wont do it.

It may be set to "no ring" for that particular line or all lines. Go to the phone. Slide the "T/P" switch to "P". Touch a "line" button (note the red light). Touch the same line button again until the desired code light appears:

Red on = ring
Red flashing = delayed ring
Red off = no ring.

Do the same for each line button.

Return T/P switch to center.
