Merlin extension will not ring from outside

I have a merlin legend ssytem. When the auto attendent answers there is one extension that cannot be dialed from outside. It can be dialed from inside. it is no a 008 board. I cannot find any differences from other extensions. Any ideas would be appreciated. I also have a MLX-20 console that can no longer program. the menu function is not available.

If it starts with a different digit than the other extensions, make sure AA1 has that selector code set to direct extension transfer.

If it starts with the same digit as other extensions that work, check Cover Group 30. It probably isn't in that group. That let's the system know to send the call to coverage if not answered.

It is extension 46, and It is in cover group 30.

Other extensions in the 40 range work fine. This is very puzzling.

What kind of voicemail are you using? and what is the message you are getting when you try and enter extension 46? "invalid extension"?

It's Merlin mail release 3, and I believe that is the correct error message. I have not heard it myself, but that is what I was told.

Has a mailbox been created for Ext. 46?

Go into the system administrator's mailbox, 9 for programming, 4 for mailboxes, 2 to play a mailbox configuration, then 46#. If it has not been created, you can't transfer to it.
