We are opening a new office and have several Merlin ETR 18D's and 1 MCS12 but no KSU, what model and version of KSU do we need. We wont be expanding to anything more than 6 lines and 8 sets. No voicemail we are using LEC for that.

Im very familiar with Nortel and this Avaya is new to me.

Thanks

No idea what an MCS12 is, but the ETR 18D's will work on both a Merlin Magix with an 016ETR and 800 gs/ls for lines or a Partner ACS processor (which comes with 5 lines by 9 phones or 3 lines by 8 phones depending upon version). Probably cheaper to go the Partner route.

I think he has MLS-12s. If you have a smaller office then, as Telecomboy said, go with a Partner ACS.

The R8 is the current (and final) version of the traditional Partner KSU.

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.

The Merlin Magix supports up to 200 users while the Partner ACS tops out at 48 users.

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.
