If any of y'all are interested in CTI on the Merlin and are a bit of a programming hack, I have a project that makes it easy to work with the Merlin. Check out for downloads, documentation, and details. Picking up a Merlin PBX Driver from a reseller on the Internet for about $600 will then give you the ability to perform call control, provide "screen pops", and log traffic information.
The project is written using Ruby, which is pretty easy for beginning folks to pick up. The project itself is free, open source software, which is something unique in the world of expensive telco-land I suppose. In any event feel free to check it out and I welcome your feedback!
