Morning

Merlin System /Pri issue
Switch type: DMS100
Prov: AT&T
Dial Plan: 4 digits

Issue: Customer wants everyone personal DID to send originating caller DID # not there main #

Provider is allowing PBX to send #
PBX will send main # when I set all 10 digits on the trunk ports 5555555555 on caller ID
I changed it to Exten= I only see last 4 digits 5555 on caller ID
I change it to Number to send with Extension= I program 555666 it shows like this 55.66.66 on caller ID

Ideas????

When you change it to number to send with extension you need to put the whole number in for the "base number". So, the main number is 555-555-1000, and extensions are 1xxx, then you would put the base number as 5555551000. The system then replaces the last 4-digits with the extension number that is calling out.

Be careful with this as if they have an extension that isn't a DID (such as 7110) the number it will send would be 555-555-7110 which does not exist obviously. It is an older system and isn't as flexible as the new stuff.
