i had a merlin system with t1's on slot 5 and 11 using b-ch grps 80 and 79 respectively. then 1 added a third t1 on slot 3, now i can't use b-ch grp 79 and i can't delete the old channels assigned there(slot 11) previously. a check on the b-ch grp 79 will show no lines are assigned to it but the print pri info report will show that some slot 11 channels are still there. as a result, i can't make use of the b-ch grp 79 and is causing problems. pls help on how to clear the b-ch grp 79...

when you delete or add to or from a b-channel group you should be using the slot/port assignment, not the trunk number. Example would be 1101, 1102, 1103 for slot 11. Maybe this will help.

My guess is that since you added a line card ahead of the PRI you had in slot 5, that it messed up the configuration, a messy thing. Remove the card, and go to the last good config. Add the third PRI to the last available slot and reprogram. Make sure to do the renumber function after each moard manipulation.
