Our phone system (Merlin 1.1) was inadvertantly reset when new phonelines were set up (transfer of phone company).
What occurred is that the system resorted to an old backup of gretting messages.
Thus, we programmed the automated attendants to the apropriate lines and recorded gretting messages.
The problem is that when someone calles from the outside, the old greeting messages pick up, not the new automated attendants (even though an administrator can log in the system and the line assignmens and gretting messages are correct).
I have tried everything in the System Mangers Reference manual and followed everything step-by-step, but nothing I have tried has solved the problem.
I thought that perhaps an extention greeting message was overriding the automated attendant, but I could not even find evidence of the location of the old greeting message (the one a caller hears). The greeting message that is played is neither an Automated Attendant nor a mailbox greeting.
Does anyone have a suggestion? Thank you in advance.
