When I Insert the plug from my CD Music player nothing happens when the phone line is put on hold. I verified output from my player (Stereo) The plug is of the correct size. I know the plug for MOH uses Mono for MOH.

Is there a switch Progamable or physical I need to activate? Is there additional equipment I need to procure? Do I need a Mono Plug vs. a Stereo Plug?
What else can I check to activate MOH.
Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

Get a mono cable, plug it in and place a call on hold. Then try touching the other end of the cable and tapping agianst a ground etc.

If you hear noise or clicks as you do this the unit is probably configured and the MOH is more-or less working. At that point you might look again at the cable and be sure itr is compatible.

Usually it is OK to plug a 3 conductor (stereo) plug into a 2 conductor (mono) jack. It is a very bad idea to plug a 2 conducter plug into a 3 conductor plug.

I hope this helps

Good luck
