Merlin 2 Asterisk

Looking for some help configuring a link between a Merlin system and Asterisk. I've got them connected via a T1 (PRI).

I want phones on the Asterisk system (ext: 500, 501, 502 ...) to operate exactly like the existing phones on the Merlin system.

HOW DO I:

1) From a Merlin connected phone, dial 500 and have the call appear on PRI channel 1?

2) From an Asterisk phone, dial 140 and have the call connected to the appropriate Merlin extension.

I'm familiar with Asterisk .... not very with Merlin.
