Every third off-hook (intercom or outside line doesn't matter) results in extremely low volume level in the handset, both sides of conversation, any/all terminals. I assume that there is a three-channel audio crcuit in there somewhere that gets selected in sequential order with each off-hook, and that one of the channels is bad. My question is which module do I need to replace? I assume the 61330A processor but would like confirmation. Thanks, Bill Martin

It isn't the processor, it is one of your modules.

The 1030/3070 had a "LINK" Design.

There are 22 "LINKS" in this thing.

You probably have a bad module (or more).

First off, I would advise moving away from that platform altogether, considering it doesn't support voice mail. It is cheap and easy to move to the LEGEND Platform with these phones.

How to troubleshoot it:

A BAD LINK is evident by hearing low or muffled dial tone.

Remove all but 1 Station Module.

On one phone connected to that module, turn on the speaker, then toggle between the 2 intercom buttons for about a second or 2 listening to the dial tone you get.

Do this "TOGGLE" until you reach the count of 22.

If you do hear low or muffled dial tone, then that module is defective. Take it out and try another one.

If you do not hear any low or muffled dial tone, install another module and repeat the test with the same phone in that same original module.
