Merlin 1030 feature pack2--dial out problem, make it stop

I have a customer that has a phone that picks up and dials out at random times during the day and night.
They have said that it sometimes calls numbers that they have NEVER dialed before and sometimes it dials numbers that they HAVE called before.
On one instance it called one of their salesmen about 3 or 4 times starting at 1:30am.
In that case it they had called that number before the end of the day.

We have tried changing telephone sets. It still does it.
I finally had them power cycle the system. Now the original phone has not been dialing but another set has.

Incidentally, when they power cycled the system they left it off for about 3 minutes and it lost all of its programming, so, I had to reprogram the system from scratch.

At any rate, We still have the same problem but on a different phone.

Does anyone have any clue what I shoud try next?
(Please don't tell me to change out the system. They seem very fond of this one!)

In a word, yes, that word is UPGRADE TO SOMETHING NEWER and get rid of that ANTIQUE !

You could still use the sets in a LEGEND 7.0.

And then, you could even have Voice Mail....
