I need assistance with how to update area codes within the Meridian Option switches. All of my switches are release 19 and above. I'm looking for a step by step (or as much information on how to accomplish as possible) explaination of how to do this. Thanks...2stressed

Login to the switch (type LOGIN at the prompt)
Enter Password

LD 90
REQ:pRT
CUST:(cust number)
FEAT:NET
TRAN:AC1
TYPE:NPA
NPA:1xxx (where xxx = area code)

This will display the area code info if it is already loaded into the switch. If not, you'll see an error code.
Do the following to add it:

Type in *** to return to the REQ prompt
REQ:NEW
CUST:(customer number)
FEAT:NET
TRAN:AC1
TYPE:NPA
NPA=1xxx (where xxx = area code)
RLI=(enter the Route List Index here. If not sure, then try '1' w/o the quotes)
SDRR=(press Enter to skip)
ITEI=(press Enter to skip)
NPA=(press Enter to skip)

Repeat the steps to display the area code to verify that it took.

Type in **** to return to the main prompt

Logoff the switch by typing in LOGO Monkeylizard

Thanks much...very detailed and easy to follow. I followed to the T and was able to add all the area codes I was missing. On a similiar note, isn't there another command for TYPE: to do Toll-Free....I think SPA rather than NPA? This sound right?
