Is it possible to connect a Meridian system to an Avaya IPOffice using the meridians current leased line(ITG trunking)using the meridians current IP network?
we have 17 IP Office systems about to be connected via Avaya SCN
but the customer would like to link into his existing systems.

Could you point me to any info on this as BT aren't being very co-operative

Thx and regards

I would guess that you could use h323 or a sip gateway?

could be talking tripe but may be worth a look?

It's not getting any smarter out there. You have to come to terms with stupidity, and make it work for you.

CONNECT A TIE LINE BETWEEN THE TWO SWITCHES (PRI) USE CDP FOR DIALING. THE T1 SHOULD BE A CROSSOVER CABLE PINS 12 45

THE SAME SET-UP WORKED FOR US WELL

ITG Trunk could be used with H323 protocol. The Avaya have to register it using the ITG H323 ID. Your Nortel PBX must have H323 licences.

you can connect via the itg, these are licenced on the meridian & may cause a bottle-neck. check how many you have.

Meridian:Ld 22(CR),REQ: slt(CR)

on print out near bottom will see ITG TRUNKS (=) X,

you wont need a H323 id unless you are using gatekeeper,

Remember if it doesn't work hit it harder
