Our Norstar Meridian phone system with 13 lines and roughly 40 phones operated flawlessly until we added voice mail (Star Talk Flash Modular DR5). Since adding voice mail the system, it will occasionally disconnect all lines, shut down, and then restart, in essence a reboot. This occurs most often when a call is sent to voice mail by the receptionist and will occur on average 6 to 12 times per month. We have replaced the voice mail module without solving the issue. Any ideas?

I would try upgrading to 4.1 software. Do not forget to get the upgrade kit. I hope this star talk is a 4 port, with that many phones.... Seems like a load for a small unit. I would recommend a NAM ( voice mail unit )... Jeter@LasVegas.com

Jeter,

It is a 4 port system. How does one go about determining what version of software the system is running? I am under the impression that the KSU software was upgraded to release 5 when the star talk was added.

Thanks, Don

There is 2 ways I know of and that is to look at the software module inside the system and or to go into programming under maintenance and look at the version.

The voice mail will also have too match the current software. Good luck !!! Jeter@LasVegas.com
