This question pertains to IVR.
We have a customer who is curious to know if his switch is capable of sending dtmf or some other info back to an IVR auto-attendant system (using analog voice boards)when a transfer to an extension is busy or no answer?
Let me explain a bit better.
We're a computer telephony software company and our clients use our software to build custome IVR's and auto-attendants. Now normally, they would use the Dialogic D82 card interfaced to the Norstar switch and this would not be an issue. They would simply get the display info back to the IVR with the extension number that was originally called. However, they want to use analog voice cards instead. When speaking with other switch vendore...Lucent for example...they said that their Definity was able to do this. Can the Meridian handle this as well? Is there a programmable option to let the unanswered DN send a dtmf string or tones back to the auto-attendant?
Thanks in advance.
