Hi. I work at a CO, and we have a customer with a Nortel Meridian. The problem is that only one call can be active on the entire PRI at a time (configured 23B and 1D, NI2). If you call into the system from the outside and there is an active call, then a cause code 18 is returned for release. If you call into the system from the outside and there is no active call, then the call processes fine. If a call out from the PBX is attempted with one call up, then there is no D channel messaging at all sent. A call out with no active calls results in a good call.
Unfortunately, the PBX vendor refuses to believe that this is his issue, despite the fact that a CPE tech can replace the PBX with his TTC test box, and have two active calls up. In the CO, we've rebuilt the translations, moved hardware twice, and still the problem persists.
Sadly, I can give no further information on the PBX other than what our CPE tech read, which is Nortel Meridian. Any thoughts? The customer believes the PBX vendor, and short of resetting the PBX, which we really don't want to do, we are out of ideas.
Thanks!
