meridian phones 1st incoming call rings subsequent calls dont

i have a meridian phone system at one of my sites, it has 5 off m7310 handsets, and 4 BT lines connected.

if more than 1 call comes in only 1st caller rings all phones subsequent calls just flash next to the key assigned.

i have busied out all lines but 1 and rung in, and done this with all 4 lines and they all ring individually.

any suggestions please as i am banging head on wall?

If it says mederian it is most likley an old 8X24 norstar with 8 built in lines. You could move the lines to ports not being used and program to a phone and test for 2nd ring.Also with a test set before the system put your set on line 2 and make line 1 busy then call to see if the line rings the 2nd line. If that dosen't fix the problem it could be the S/W.

Did you verify that the lines are set to RING versus NO RING?
