Meridian Option 61 Disposal

Does anyone out there have any thoughts on what the best way is to dispose of a gutted 4 shelf opt.61?

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

There are tons of resellers out there that will give you a better price than a scrap dealer.

I dont know at my last employer we tried to get rid of an Option 61 that still had all its card. It would theoretically still work though it had been stilling unplugged and in a warehouse for months. We tried to sell it. One of the resellers wanted to give $1500 for it and we pay the shipping.

We could have gotten more selling the cards separately on ebay and scrapping the shelf. So I dont know if a reseller will give anything for a gutted shelf.
