Does anyone have a "white paper" that gives the general step by step process of configuring a UTC for overhead paging? I am the programmer/manager of a Meridian OPT 81 switch but have never played with setting up paging. Just need some general direction, do's and don'ts.

Thanks.... Jan

note: i don't use trunk type page because you don't get tfd on a page route. i set tfd to 60 so that when the user does a hook flash or the valcom unit doesn't see the hangup, the trunk disconects after 60 seconds.. that is well past out normal overhead page... code blue for this unit.. here is the trunk

almost a total default.. start type is loop due to the valcom page adapter (V-1101).. if your dialing zones you may need to allow frl o to dial a number, it's blocked in ld 49 by default and is used these days only via dialing the acod.. the acod can be used to access page or you can set it up with a tsc in ld 86. we use tgar/targ blocking to keep all but a very few phones from calling it.
