Meridian mail

I am running Mer Mail rls 13, We did not have any passwords for this switch so I booted mail from the install tape and reset the Meridian Mail password. I cannot access tools, the password for tools was not reset or there is a differnt default password. Any ideas?

When you go to log in and use tools as your login password, you cannot use the admin password to access the tools system? I always thought (and have in place in my system) the tools password was the login password.

that would be normal, rls 12 seems that they were the same, but rls 13 asked for a password for user tools...but your talking years ago..

[Firebird Scrambler]

If you have reset the password via the Install tape, then you will need to use "system" as the name in lower case. The default password is used & you will be prompted to change it.
