I am running Meridian Mail RLS13. We did not have passwords to the system so I booted mail from the install tape and reset the password. The problem I have now is I cannot access tools. Does anyone know how to reset the Tools password?

from the install tape i thought it followed the mail password, rls 13 you needed to enter both. admin and tools

The system password was reset but the tools password was not. I need to find out how to reset the tools password.

it's been a couple of years but the last mermial i installed was rls 13, i would rerun the install tape. i would almost bet that the install tape forces a password change for both menus.. i did use the same for both on that install..

I changes the password from the install tape and it did not affect the tools password.

Im wondering if the default password for tools is differnt from the system admin default.

The default password for tools in MM13 is the same for the system admin.
