meridian mail upgrade to call pilot 5.0

is there a direct upgrade path from meridian mail 13.11 to call pilot 5.0? or do we have to upgrade the mm to a different release or upgrade to a lower version of cp before making the jump to cp 5.0? there was a document out earlier with a 13.11 to 3.0 issues. we ran the migration tape but when we tried to migrate to the cp box it didn't have any of the database. not sure if we had a bad tape, or tape drive.
 
This is a direct migration. Things to consider:

I like to set up the Call Pilot prior to the migration of data. Make sure Restriction Permissions are set up, make sure your Security Admin stuff is filled out, and make sure you set your Restriciton Permission lists.

If you do all this migrations go real smooth. If you don't you can get some of the data to fail, because it violates some type of setting in the Call Pilot.

The migration tape you get may say it's for Call Pilot 4.0, but I think that is what they are sending out. I used a CP 4.0 migration tape for a CP 5.0 system and it worked fine. It was actually the tape they sent from Nortel. That was about a year ago and they may have fixed this ordering issue.

It's a real smooth process though. I have done dozens of them with no real issues and no loss of data.

Just be prepared to build all your menus from scratch in App Builider, and make sure you load ALL the current PEPS and MS Hotfixes.

thanks for the reply...just found out that the tech copied the migration data and did then messages without changing the tapes so he copied the messages over the data....we need to re do the migration.
