Meridian Mail Transfer

Hey Everone-

Question: Does Meridian Mail have a transfer type of mailbox like an Octel? A call comes into an ACDN X6330 thats NCFW to a transfer type of mailbox where AM calls forward to an extension, and PM calls transfer to a voice messaging mailbox?

yes you can set up a time of day filter for a menu service or a direct transfer to numbers based on the clock

Would a direct transfer be transparent to anyone calling. In other words would there be a greeting stating "please hold while you're transferred"? Also, when building this, would I put the direct transfer on the ACDN that's forwarding to VM?

a direct transfer has the option of playing a msg or not.. i don't have mermail anymore but options 3 6 1 lets you add the voice service dn and option 6 adds the menu.. that gives you the option to direct transfer..

another way to control inbound did;s is with the idc table.. you can build a separate table for nights and days.. doing the same thing based on the 2250 console.. when the att goes into nights, nit_data changes but so does the idc target number..
