Meridian Mail Terminal locked up

I access my Meridian Mail through a VT emulator and it is locked up right now in the Voice Services Admin screen. Where it says select an item there is a capital T. I can't get any of the function keys to respond etc. It is an Option 61C.

Voice mail is working but I can't do any admin on the system.

Ideas on how to get out of this screen? Do I need to reboot mail or is there an easier way?

Did you try "Ctrl + R" to refresh the screen? If so then I would reset the terminal not the voice mail first.
 
I did try the Ctrl R and that didn't work. I called a friend who was a former tech and he asked me to try Ctrl W as well. That worked but selecting MMI did nothing. I ended up bouncing Voice Mail and now the terminal is back.
 
There are a number of ways to resolve this.

It might be that it's a particular TTY port that is locking up the mail access.

Log onto the mail system via another TTY port and go into LD 37. Key in STAT TTY and note the TTY ports. Use e.g. DIS TTY 0, DIS TTY 1 etc, except for the TTY port that you are using.

The use the command ENL TTY 0, ENL TTY 1 etc
If you see a SL1 message appear, then you should have unlocked the mail port OK.

If the problem happened due to accessing the mail system via a TTY port configured for use over the data network, then the only way to free the mail access is via a warm start on the phone system. I tend to ask the customer to press the round "INI" button on the SSC card.

It's unlikely to be the actual meridian mail system.
Also check that you are entering in AX or AX 8 (if another LSL port is used such as a Miran card).
