Something strange going on here. I have a couple of users (only 2 so far) getting various errors while trying to check their mailboxes. Supposedly they're being told their request cannot be completed at this time.

So I go to load up the AX menu to check out their boxes/useage and it gives me a login failure, "201 cannot read security file"

The Space usage screen says: Voice: 49% Text: 45%
I'm not sure if that has anything to do with this problem. If it's 49/45 % of their individually allocated space, I wouldn't think that'd be a problem-causer.

Anybody run into this before? Not sure what I can do about mailboxes without the mermail menu.

Thanks in advance.

Welp, Situation's worse now because I didn't research heavily enough (i guess) before flipping switches.

The merdian mail card has it's own switch, under the "Pwr" light with a 1/0. I read something about cold booting the card so I flicked the switch.

Took a while to come up, but now the Pwr light is VERY slowly blinking off, and on. and my voicemail DN is ringing over to receptionist instead of the mail system.

AX just hangs at the prompt.

Little egg on my face here... anybody got a suggestion?

Ok so after reading further on these forums, i've done the following:

stat aml (ld48) shows
AML: 09 ESDI: 09
LYR2: AUTO SETUP LYR7: DOWN DSBL AUTO SETUP

I tried all the enl fixes mentioned in this thread: including manually dis abling and re-enl

nothing changed, VM DN still CFW's to receptionist.

I turned the power off again, un/re-seated the mail card.
It's still off, as I read a few people suggesting leaving it off for like 20 minutes, so that's my current step.

I do have a tape drive connected, but there's no Tape in it. (which i really should've inquired about a long time ago since backups would be nice...)

Printout from console during/after shutdown of card.
