Meridian Mail Rel 13 question?
I have about 3000 mailboxes that I have to Reset passwords every semester because we have new students coming to dorms is there any one up there that know how can this be automated some kind of script or program that can do something like this is this possible?

Thanks

meridiam mail has a feature called Auto Admin - you can find it in your admin book 2 one of the last sections.

You can have a document that has the mailbox number and new password and send it off and it's done. you could even use the same list each year.

This Feature required Admin Plus software liscense and a serial port to a PC with either 98 or NT. More than likely you will have to buy the software keycode to turn this on but you could easily justify the cost as this would save a lot of time.

Use AutoAdmin - we do the same thing. Be careful though - do not do a reset - do a mass delete and then a mass install. This is the only way to get a "clean" mail box.

Happy to help you if you have any problems.

Hi Dave

If it’s not big of a problem for you could you give me basic brief setup that you have using Auto Admin? My email is ap53@drexel.edu

Thank you in Advance
