I need to tap those great Nortel minds again. We have come across a couple of times at our sites where a voicemail light will come on for a phone that does not have a voicemail box defined for it. I suspect that this DN is mistyped in someone's mailbox but do not know of any other way of finding this typo other than looking through all of the mailboxes. I do not want to do this and would like to know there is any easier way to find that DN.

I have had this problem in the past and could find no reason for it. The only way I got the light to finally turn off was to assign the DN a mailbox and then delete it. If the light is occasionally going on and off then it might be a message indicator typo. You can use the Find option and search the message waiting indication DN.

if you are using meridian mail than go to user admin than local voice user than f10 which equals find than arrow down to message waiting indication dn and put in your dn here than list.
