What I do is save the desired info (usually a list of mailboxes) as a text file then import that text file into Excel. The steps below assume you already know how to perfom list functions in the MMail and are using ProcommPlus to access the MMail.
1)Just after connecting to MMail via Procomm load the VT220.kbd keyboard file to make the “F” Keys function.
A)Select the “Keyboard Editor” from the “Options” menu.
B)From the resulting “Keyboard Editor” screen click the “Open” button.
C)Select the vt220.kbd file & click “Open”.
a)If this file is not available, you will have to download it from an external source and copy it to the ProcommPlus folder.
b)Using this file, MMail soft keys 1 thru 4 will correspond to keyboard keys F1 thru F4 but soft key 5 will be on keyboard F9 key.
2)Before starting the list capture, be sure to turn on the “Write Filtered Text With No Emulation” option in Procomm as follows.
A)From the “Options” menu item go to “Data Options”, “Setup Files”, & click the “Setup” button next to the “Capture” drop down box.
B)Select “Write Filtered Text With No Emulation Escapes” radio button.
a)Note 1: This menu will automatically appear each time your click the file capture toolbar button if “Query For File Name When Capture Is Started” checkbox is selected from the same menu above.
b)Note 2: If this option is not selected before beginning the file capture process then only the last 8 lines of the VM List will be captured.
4)To get a list of mailboxes close to the correct format in a text file, perform the following.
A)Ensure “Word-Wrap” is disabled in either Wordpad or Notepad.
a)In Wordpad go to the “View” menu item & then “Options”
b)Select the “No-Wrap” radio button on both the Text & Rich Text tabs.
c)Open or copy the saved text file directly from the saved location. Do not select the “Start File Playback” or “Print Capture” options from within Procomm.
