I have deleted some old mailboxes that werent being used and my voice storage went down to 79%, but how do you get the text storage down?

Keep pressing 1 until you get to add/mod-view/delete/find
press find then either hit list or if you want a hard copy press print.
Then go at it, it will tell you who is over there limits and all kinds of useful info you can use against your mailbox owners

I normally look for people that have not logged in for a month or more, those get deleted. Then you look for the overlimits, tell them to delete or you will change how long there able to keep them. Which is easy

You can also log into the tools section and run an audit, this will clear out alot of space for you. Run that about once a month.

I thought AUDITS ran automatically

If they are supposed to then ours didn't. We would hit full capacity on fridays sometimes, would go in and run the audit and free up 5-7%.

Well I ran the Audit already and also listed out the mailboxes. I was able to free up some voice storage space to get it to the 79% but the text storage is still up at 94%?

How many hours of storage do you have?

I dont know how many hours I have to be honest?

I was just trying to get the text side of the storage down below 94%?

Here are a few threads where Text is discussed. In thinking about it more, I bet if you set the system to not collect audit trail info or reduced the Number of days of Traffic Data stored, you would fix your text storage issue.

Yes I always search the threads first and didnt really see a answer to this. All the Audit stuff is disabled?

Bump...any other people have this issue and find the fix?

You say "Audit stuff is disabled - question mark" so is it? and what about user usage data?

And is everyone in a predefined Class of Service or are they all personal?

Yes all the Audit stuff is disabled
Yes I moved the 7 or so mailboxes that were set as personal to the standard COS, also changed the standard COS to not keep messages so long and for shorter record times.

You keep saying "audit stuff"...and I just want to make sure traffic is also turned off (user usage data).
