Meridian Mail backup problems

I have Rel 13 meridian mail and can't seem to backup the VS2T volume. I have been successful in backing up all other volumes to tape. It appears that there maybe a bad sector on the hard drive. I get an error 1535 "Error reading disk during backup...near 971 1415". What I need to know is that something I can run to make this go pass this error?

There is one thing you can try at the login screen on Mermail you want to log into the tools menu the default usually is lower case tools password tools1. This will take you to the system menu from there type in choice 9 which is audit all volumes. This will check all the drive volumes and will free up space on the drives.

Have had the same problem, got round it buy not backing it up. It was a empty volume
