Meridian Mail admin and tools password reset

Looking at previous posts I see that reloading MM 13 from the install tape allows the change of admin and tools passwords. Will reloading from a backup tape allow the same? That's all I've got.

i wouldn't try to reload without the original install and the keycodes. if the tape does not load, it has formated the hd.. and no, that does not allow password changes

[Firebird Scrambler]

A backup tape will only load in a backed up database including the passwords that existed on it. You will have to use the Mail 13 Install tape.
