My client purchase Meridian M2616 phones they have Option 61c PBX, They don't want users to be able to use speaker on these phones.

I disabled Handsfree using class "hfd" but still users can select DN key to enable speaker though the microphone is disabled and they can not talk but they can create noise.

As a group poilicy client does not want these speakers to work (Disconnecting speakers is not an option). Any idea which can provide us desired results will be highly appreciated

Hello
Exactly what model phone are you talking about ??

hello
unfortunately you cannot turn off the speaker via the programming. Handsfree dialling is usually used by callers who know in advance that they will be calling a number which will take a while to connect or that their call will initially be in a queue, the easiest way around this is to provide headsets, for anyone who makes numerous calls, then unless they deliberately turn on the group listening feature their calls will not broadcast. It is always a good idea to publish office etiquette rules to reinforce company noise regulations.
