Has anyone got a passport 74xx type switch connected to their meridian? if so how are they connected together?

It's not getting any smarter out there. You have to come to terms with stupidity, and make it work for you.

ive not done it myself ...but seen a few working

you need a T1/E1 interface on both sides ...consider passport as another PBX we dont know. or if u a PP expert think of the M1 as another T1/E1 source

I was thinking more about the physical cabling between the 2

Hi mikeyb123

You hav to connect the pp74xx e1 card to the pbx dti or pri card.one to one. One of the PP cards will be providing the clocking to the pbx card.

From the PP e1 card connection will go the Ds1/E1 panel if you are using a multiple port e1/t1 card. from there it gets fan out and goes to the pbx.
Else if u r using a single port e1 card it goes directly.
let me know if any more on this.
