HELLO, I AM NEW TO MERIDIAN PROGRAMMING. I JUST INHERITED A SYSTEM AND HAVE SOME USERS THAT WOULD LIKE TO CHANGE THEIR EXTENSION NUMBER BUT KEEP THE SAME DID. I CAN CHANGE THE EXTENSION BUT I DON'T KNOW HOW TO ROUTE THE DID TO THE NEW DN.

THANKS IN ADVANCE.

check your IDC table ( incoming digit conversion )

LD 49
req prt
type idc
cust 0
dcno c/r

this will print the table ( if one is built )

the incoming numbers are in the left column the right column has the DN's
to change

LD 49
req chg
type idc
cust 0
idgt xxxx c/r ( this is the DID )example 4455
4455 ( new DN )yyyy

in ld 49 you have 2 columns.. 1st is digits from the co, 2nd is the ext number
Code:
TYPE idc

CUST 0
DCNO 1

DCNO 1
IDGT CDGT
1021 7275
2454 8001
2471 8001

so if you dial 1 803 xxx 1021, the provider sends me 1021, but i translate that to internal 7275... this is not used in all switches.. 99 percent of my did's match.. ie your last 4 digits match my internal dn..

Your creating a nightmare, THE DID is the EXT, why not just move the phone????

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.
