meridian 8x24 upgrade

have to upgrade dr2 to dr5. can this be direct or does it have to upgrade to dr3 first. Thanks very much

Correct, DR3 first then DR5

If I had to bet unless someone has changed out the CAP in this unit odds are as soon as you pull power you'll lose the programming anyway. Make sure you do a back up.
