We are installing a new switch and would like some customized ACD reports but, are trying to find a more economical approach than the symposium system. Would like to know the capabilities and ease of use of the meridian max ACD reporting system.
We are also considering the desktop messaging and would just like to know if anyone is using it and are happy with it's performance.

The Max is overall a very good system. IT will provide you with real-time displays the show you the status of your agents, and status of your queues. It is very flexible in its reporting. You can print reports, or "print" reports to a file in a delimited format and create your own reports. Max also has "Configuration Control", you can easily move agents between queues or change parameters on your ACD groups (queue sizes, overflow targets, night numbers, RAN routes etc..). Max has proven to be a very reliable system.

The downsides:
No ODBC connections.
Antiquated Interface, althouth the program to access Max is a windows program (MTE), it is text based from there, like using an old DOS program. Nortel has had their heads stuck you know where on the interface. Especially when they have an almost identical product for their DMS100, SL100 systems that has an excellent interface. Max developers should have taken note years ago, prior to Symposium.
