Meridian 11c with call pilot

I know enough to install and move sets, do changes and troubleshoot.I had a question put to me today which from my
limited knowledge seems pretty far out. But in this day and age who knows?

Can the phone system be set up so that a paticular DN is dialed from any phone and then the system will autodial
all the phones and give a recorded message warning of a dangerous situation?

That question is posed every so often. There is no feature in the CallPilup or MerMail system that can call more than a few phones.

If there were, it might not have the immediacy needed anyways. Nor can it give people updates or change directions - like overhead paging systems can.

Another thing - in an emergency, you might hesitate to answer a phone to take direction, and you might be on a break away from your phone. Overhead paging covers all of those - when you hear it, you usually stop everything and listen. If the situation is Security related, develop special paging code names like "page for <special name here>" can be decoded as "Shoplifter in aisle 3"
