Hi all,

How do I merge a whole set of tapes (which have the same name) instead of session by session ??

Cheers

Merge 'All Sessions' instead of selecting a specific one.

Will this read all the tapes and not just the tape that I select when I go through the job ?

It will read all of the tapes in the logical set (ie if you have 3 physical tape sequences in a logical tape set - it will read all three).

If you just have multiple tapes with the same name, but they are not part of the same logical tape, then you will just have to merge them manually.

If you have a library, then you should be able to CTRL-Click select multiple tapes, and it will load/swap the tapes automatically as needed.

If the tapes are part of the same set (same name, ID, and just a different seq. #) then load the seq. # 1 tape and as said above select Merge All Sessions.
