Hi,
I have created one MSTR project using access DW. Now I need to move it to DB2 DW. Now in DB2 DW we have some different table names and some different column names. I have created a seperate MSTR project and create all attributes which have the same name as that was there in my previous access DW, using the new tables and columns.
Now I want to move only the public objects into my new project from the old one.
I have tried using object manager and project merge tools to just copy the public objects from the old project to the new project. I am getting error saying "object cannot be moved as they are created from same source" when I am using Object manager to copy and I am getting error saying "Project cannot be merged as they are using different schema id" when using project merge option.

I don't want to create all the public objects from scratch in the new project as it will take a lot time to do that.

I will appreciate any help on how to do this? Please help.

I'm sad to inform you that you will have to redo something again.

Let's call your original accessdw project P1. In desktop, you need to duplicate P1, let's call the duplicate project P2.

THen you can modify P2 to point to your DB2DW, and make the changes necessary to point the attributes to the right tables.

You will be able then to drag the public objects from P1 into P2 using object manager.
