Is there a component available that can manipulate tiff files, to be more specific: merge seperate tiffs into one document?

Kees

VB 6 provides a group of controls called "Wang Image Edit Controls" which are installed during VB installation. It's a third party control using which tiff images can be viewed, manipulated.

ImgEdit control member will allow viewing tiff images, scrolling, rotating. It has methods for viewing different pages in a multipage tiff file.

Another member control ImgAdmin can be used for deleting, appending and some other manipulations.

Good luck

Actually, those controls are not provided by VB. There are installed with Windows (from ver 95 and forward). It's the same controls that Program/Accessories/Imaging use, and is currently owned/supported by Kodak Eastman.
It does have some "issues", but it will merge several single page tiffs into one multi-page tiff.

I have managed to scan in a document into my VB app and then can view it in a thumbnail control on the page. However, I am confused as to how I can select indivudual thumbs when I have scanned in multiple pages into my thumbnail control.

Any help is appreciated.

Sajjad.
