I am tring to merge multiple different docs in word 2000, I have 6 unique docs, being called by a field called "doc" in my database.

The problem i'm having is, when I merge the record, where there is a empty field, it prints a blank line, instead of ignoring blank lines. It is pulling the correct letter, with the correct data, but it is not ignoring the blank lines in the address. I merge single docs all the time, and it always ingores them as long as I click "dont print blank lines when data fields are empty" on the merge dialog.

any help is really appreciated,
thanks in advance,

-Alex

Have you used a shift-enter (ie new line) in the address (where the blank line is appearing) instead of just 'enter' (new paragraph).
