Merging Lotus Archive databases

I have a situation where a user has two copies of her archive file, where she has archived a good number of emails into one of them, then proceded to do the same into another one.

The Archives both have about 70% of the same data in them, and then a few hundred mails in each of them that are not in the other.

The mails are mixed, so in order to make sure she has ALL of the mails from both I'd have to copy and paste ALL of them from one to the other. Resulting in a Long period of sorting for duplicates through much more than half of the new archive.

Is there a way, or a tool that will allow me to merge, or import the data from one to the other, while dropping duplicate entries?

Thanks for any assistance.

Archive databases are not replicas, therefor they are not easily comparable.

At first glance, the quickest way to compare the two would be to write a script that gathers essential data like sender, recipient(s), date sent, time sent, time recieved, and document size, and scours each db for all this data, then compares the results.
A major undertaking in its own right.

A more complete and fool-proof method would be to extract the text of the mail in addition to all of the above, and include that in the comparison algorythm.

I do not know of any third-party application that would do this.

Pascal.
