Merging Databases from 2 Crystal Reports in D-Tools

I am using a design software called D-Tools which uses Crystal Reports as its report generator. I am using CR 8.5 to make custom reports for use with D-Tools. The problem I am having is that for what I want to do, I need to merge the database fields used in 2 different reports. There are Management Reports that use one database and Client reports that use another version (both have the same name, but have different data fields).

I want to use certain data fields located in one report in another, and I can't seem to figure out how to gain access to the other report's version of the database. If I could find the source of this database, then I could simply add the fileds I need into the other but I can't seem to find access to it. If anyone can help, any information will be greatly appreciated. Thank You!!

Try opening the report in Crystal and look at set location.

Check to see if you have an ODBC connection set up.

There's an article on D-Tools which states that you might be able to get access to the database:

". To achieve this type of customization, you would need to obtain the database User Name and Password from D-Tools (requiring your signature on a database warranty exclusion agreement), "

Which sounds silly because they could supply a read only connection...
