I always have this problem when people forward data to me. This time I've been given data with the STD code & the phone number in separate columns. I need them in the same column for my (Access) database! I think you can do it in Excel but I've tried all the paste specials etc. and various other things but I can't get it to work. Is there some code or something I can use?

STD in column A, phone number in column B, in column C type :
=A1&"-"&B1

Then copy the formula to all records. This will place a "-" between the entries.

You may need to convert the values to text. Do you want help with that?
