Merging AD Domains?

Our company is a global organization, who didnt map out its AD structure before implementation. Consquently, we have domains all over the globe, which may LOOK like they are child domains, are actually their own parent domains.

For example, my company is XYZ. Here in the North America, we have named our domain US.XYZ. Our colleagues in England, are calling theirs GB.XYZ.

How can we merge these all together, so the forest/domain is XYZ, and each country or countries are children of the parent. It would make life SO much easier when travelling to other offices for authentication purposes, etc.

Thanks in advance.

If there are no stupid questions, then what kind of questions do stupid people ask? Do they get smart just in time to ask questions?
