We just acquired another company. The two physical companies will stay separated for awhile, but I have been tasked with merging email services under company "A" (acquiring company).
Company A is running Exchange 2003. Company B (acquiree) is SBS 2003 (Exchange 2003).
They don't want full IT integration of the two companies initially (no trusting on SBS anyway), but all users are to have company A email addresses, and they want company B users to be replying with company A addresses.
My guess is to create contacts for all the company B users in company A domain (only 25 or so) and forward emails to the company B addresses? The problem is how can I force them to reply as company A users?

Thanks for any ideas or experiences along this line.

Make them account is Company A. Then make them use Webmail to send and receive "since this is temporary

They could use Outlook if they're email account is on domain "A". They'll just get prompted for creds each time they open Outlook.
