Merge Replication Snapshot not Automatically Downloaded

I have a publication database with a subscriber that is already initiated and replicating fine.

Now I've made a sproc change at the publisher and I want to push the change down to the subscriber. So I start the snapshot agent. Even after the snapshot generation is complete, the subscriber does not automatically download and apply it...How do I make the subscriber download and apply a new snapshot once it is created? should this not be an automatic process?
