We are running Merge Replication between 2 SQL7 databases (SP3), Replication has been running fine for the last month but now the merge agent on the publisher/distributor has stopped with the following error message;
1.The Process could not log conflict information
2.The process could not read the file D:\MSSQL7\repldata\SERVER1_myDB_myDB\2003110815160
2\mytable.cft due to OS ERROR 3.
On checking the ReplData directory I found that the initial snapshot folder no longer exists. Does SQL Server remove the initial snapshot even though there is a valid subscription? I don't think I can reinitailise the subscription as the latest snaphots will now contain additional triggers that should not be replicated ....
Thanks in advance
