merge images....

I've been wondering about this for a while...

How do I merge various images together and then fade them into each other like you see with the professional graphics shown on websites etc?

I think you can do that by using blend modes and then flatten the image into one single layer. See udraw2.com for more info on blend modes.

Another way is to use the "wand" tool to outline parts of images you want to use. In the Tool Options box, set "feather" to about 25-30. Then create a new image with a white background. Copy and paste the selected part of the first image and paste as new layer.

Repeat this process with all images you want to use. Then position the layers as you see fit, play around with the opacity, color etc. of each layer. When it looks good, merge(flatten) all layers.
